Greer Aviation was formed in 2001 by Bert Greer who is the company's Managing Director. Bert has a lifetime's experience in customer service and was quick to spot a gap in the FBO aviation market at Prestwick International Airport, on Scotland's west coast. Greer Aviation was subsequently invited to establish an FBO facility and is the longest established licensed operator at the airport.

Having created a reputation as one of the UK's highly regarded FBOs, 2004 saw a significant expansion in Greer Aviation's scope with the establishment of a second location at Edinburgh Airport, serving Scotland's capital city.

Not content with providing exceptional levels of service, Greer Aviation is pioneering industry-leading levels of security screening for its customers. The introduction of passenger and baggage screening facilities at both Prestwick and Edinburgh anticipated the inevitable enhancement of GA aircraft security.

In 2006, Greer Aviation continued to reap the reward at Edinburgh for the reputation it had built up at Prestwick, establishing larger premises to better provide exemplary service to a range of charter, military and private aircraft. Such was the success of the Edinburgh Airport operation that its purchase by Signature Flight Support was successfully concluded in March 2011.
